Northern Bald Ibis

While visiting the zoo in Vienna I had an encounter with a northern bald ibis (Geronticus eremita). They are kept in a semi-house that is totally enclosed by a fence structure from the ground to the rock on the back side of the house. Usually, they walk around and dig up worms from the ground with quick head movements. This one, however, stopped for a moment to stare at what I was doing.
